You’ve invested in the best mechanics to give your race cars a competitive edge. You’ve analyzed the racetrack, checked weather reports, and did a deep dive into the race lineup to determine who will be your fiercest competitors. You’ve assembled a strong, enthusiastic and talented team of drivers and trust that they will get a good night’s sleep prior to the race.
In motorsports, though, sleep is not just about feeling rested; it is a critical safety and performance metric. In fact, recent sleep research focuses heavily on the distinction between physical fatigue and neurological fatigue.
Physical fatigue is the temporary, localized inability of your muscles to produce maximum force, typically stemming from exertion, depleted energy (ATP), or lactic acid buildup. In contrast, neurological (or central) fatigue is an overwhelming exhaustion originating in the central nervous system, where the brain and spinal cord struggle to communicate effectively with the rest of the body.

When a motorsports driver experiences partial sleep deprivation, their reaction times slow, but more importantly, their “skill control” degrades. In driving science, skill control refers to micro-adjustments—modulating brake pressure by 1%, sensing traction limits through the hips, and steering precision. A lack of high-quality deep and REM sleep severely amplifies error rates.
Another consideration: If your drivers are staying at local hotels, there is an increased probability of sleep disruption. The “First-Night Effect” (FNE) is a documented evolutionary survival mechanism where one hemisphere of the brain remains in a lighter sleep stage when sleeping in a new location. For an athlete changing hotels weekly, FNE continuously compromises their sleep cycles.
Why Rent a Luxury Motorcoach through LiTRV?
More motorsports teams are recognizing the benefits of having a private motorcoach set up on the racetrack property. After all, the driver who manages energy best, performs best. Especially over long weekends.

When you rent a luxury motorcoach through LiTRV, drivers and their families can stay on the racetrack property in comfort and style. They can wake up, walk to the track or pits, finish their session, and walk back to recover, away from the crowds. No commuting, hotel check-ins, or traffic delays. LiTRV simplifies everything.
Much like a luxury hotel suite, a luxury motorcoach features the convenience of an expansive kitchen, comfortable beds, multiple bathrooms, washer and dryer, and even a dishwasher. Just like a resort room, drivers can wake up with a hot shower and turn on the air conditioning if the weather is warm or humid outside. There’s also plenty of room for pets to stretch out and relax and ample room for luggage. All luxury motorcoaches have Smart TVs throughout and highspeed WIFI access. And, when offered by the track, track feed is available on the TVs inside the motorcoach.

In addition to helping with improved sleep, motorcoaches are also rented for hospitality, meeting space and physio – all helping to create the best performance opportunities for the entire team.

And if ever there is a problem on the motorcoach, such as a light that does not work or you need help adjusting the temperature, our LiTRV concierge specialist is nearby and can be there quickly to assist you.
Whether you’re running endurance events and sprint races, or you’re a sponsor invested in the success of your team, having a private motorcoach at the track changes everything.
