Americans are on the move, and the Northeast and Midwest are topping the list of the hottest ZIP codes for 2026, according to Realtor.com. A recent Travel + Leisure article highlighted the newly released report, which showed that Peabody, Massachusetts, took the top spot, followed by Montclair, New Jersey; Sewell, New Jersey; Fairport, New York; and Westfield, Massachusetts.
Rounding out the top 10 are Livonia, Michigan; Lititz, Pennsylvania; North Haven, Connecticut; New Berlin, Wisconsin; and Wheaton, Illinois.
The list suggests that many homebuyers are looking beyond the country’s biggest cities toward established communities that still offer convenient access to major metropolitan areas.
