There’s something special about watching motorsports races in person with family or friends. From the roar of high-performance engines to the festival-like, family-friendly atmosphere, it’s fascinating to watch the incredible skill, precision, and control drivers exhibit while handling powerful machines at extreme speeds.

And the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) race circuit does not disappoint. This year’s season is already underway with high-energy races and record attendance.

IMSA kicked off the 2026 season with the 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona with its highest-ever Rolex 24 attendance, drawing more than 180,000 fans over four days at Daytona International Speedway. On television, NBC’s network coverage averaged over 1.1 million viewers.

People love attending IMSA races for the exceptional fan access, including open paddock/grid walks, high-speed multi-class racing, and an intimate atmosphere. The series offers thrilling, competitive action with diverse manufacturers, renowned endurance events, and a family-friendly experience that feels more accessible than other major motorsports.

And beyond each iconic racetrack, there are vibrant communities and scenic regions to explore. Whether you want to attend a popular race or just want to explore the region, consider chartering a luxury motorcoach with a private driver for a memorable, customized, unique vacation experience.

Why Rent a Luxury Motorcoach?

When you charter a luxury motorcoach through LiTRV, you and your family or friends will travel in comfort and style. No more forgetting something important back at the hotel. All luxury motorcoaches have Smart TVs throughout and WIFI access.

Hotels can book up quickly in towns near popular racetracks, especially leading up to big races and events. Some racetracks have a designated area on property for luxury motorcoaches, or our LiTRV concierge specialist can explore availability at nearby luxury RV resorts or RV sites.

And because all short- and long-term charters include a private driver, you and your family or friends can relax throughout your journey. When your trip includes overnight stays, we will arrange for your private driver to stay nearby so you can enjoy your privacy.

Here are four big IMSA races coming up:

Monterey SportsCar Championship (Laguna Seca), May 1-3, 2026

Monterey, California

The much-anticipated Monterey SportsCar Championship (WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca) is world-renowned for its historic 11-turn, 2.238-mile circuit, the iconic “Corkscrew” turn, and high-intensity, multi-class IMSA racing. Set in the scenic Monterey hills, the event features elite, multi-class endurance competition in a high-speed, technical environment.

Turn 8, or the Corkscrew, features one of the most dramatic elevation drops in motorsports. It’s a challenging, blind-crest turn with a steep 180-foot elevation change (up to 16% gradient) and a 59-foot drop, separating skilled drivers from the elite.

The 2026 weekend is set to highlight the “Throw-Back” theme, allowing spectators to celebrate the history of IMSA racing with classic cars on track. There’s also plenty to do in the area, including the famous 17-Mile Drive along the coast, wine tasting in Carmel Valley and oceanfront dining.

Our LiTRV concierge specialist can explore availability at Laguna Seca Recreation Area RV Park or Marina Dunes RV Resort, just a short drive from Monterey.

Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 25-28, 2026

Watkins Glen, New York

The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen is a premier North American endurance race special for its rich history and status as a high-stakes Michelin Endurance Cup round in upstate New York. It offers intense, close-quarters racing for multiple IMSA classes in a compact, unforgiving format that requires precision.

The race takes place at the iconic Watkins Glen International, which features 115 feet of elevation change in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Drivers like the “Old School” track challenges of flowing corners and minimal room for error, particularly in areas like the “bus stop” inner loop, making a true test of driving ability. As a six-hour race, it is shorter than Daytona or Sebring but demands a relentless pace—essentially a “six-hour sprint” with high traffic density and constant strategy changes.

Known as “The Glen,” this legendary track is nestled in New York’s Finger Lakes region, a haven for wine lovers and outdoor adventurers. It’s definitely worth your time to stay in the area a few extra days to explore Watkins Glen State Park. Within two miles of entering the park, the glen’s stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge.

Our LiTRV concierge specialist can check availability at nearby luxury RV resorts, such as the Watkins Glen/Corning KOA Resort. Amenities include an indoor heated pool, fitness center, nearby hiking trails, “The Plunge” water slide, a Jumping Pillow and Jump Pad and a pirate ship-themed playground, mini golf, Gaga Ball, and a dog park.

IMSA SportsCar Weekend at Road America, July 30-August 2, 2026

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin

Road America is a renowned, historic road-racing circuit located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Established in 1955, the 4.048-mile track winds through 640 acres of picturesque rolling hills, featuring 14 turns, significant elevation changes, and a challenging layout that includes a distinctive high-speed “Kink”. It hosts a variety of motorsports events and is recognized as one of the fastest permanent road courses in the world.

Known as “The National Park of Speed,” Road America is just outside the charming village of Elkhart Lake. Beyond racing, visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, and dining on Lake Michigan, or take a scenic stroll through Elkhart Lake’s boutique shops and eateries.

Other fun activities include relaxing on the beach at Fireman’s Park, exploring 19th-century history at the Wade House, playing golf at Quit Qui Oc Golf Club, or visiting Henning’s Cheese, which includes a cheese museum showcasing the cheese equipment that was used during the early 1900s.

Our LiTRV concierge specialist can explore availability to stay on the property, at nearby luxury RV resorts or check availability at the historic Siebkens Resort, which is known for its private waterfront on the lake and its iconic Stop-Inn Tavern, which serves as a vintage racing memorabilia museum and popular bar. Our LiTRV private driver will drop you off there and pick you up when you are ready to continue on your journey.

MOTUL Petit Le Mans, September 30 – October 3, 2026

Braselton, Georgia

The MOTUL Petit Le Mans is considered one of the most special and prestigious events in global motorsports, often regarded as one of the “Big Six” endurance races in the world. Held annually at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Georgia, it serves as the spectacular 10-hour season finale of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. And as the last race of the season, it often decides multiple class championships, creating intense pressure and high-stakes racing. The race often comes down to the final hours or even minutes, resembling a shootout where the best performers at the end take the glory.

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is known for its fast, flowing layout, dramatic elevation changes, and blind corners, making it a favorite among drivers and a thrilling challenge for traffic management. Located on a 750-acre site, the track has a rich history dating back to 1970

Braselton is close to Atlanta and North Georgia wine country, offering dining, culture, and scenic drives. Our LiTRV concierge specialist can explore availability at Road Atlanta RV Park, which is on the racetrack property, or we can check availability at the premier Chateau Elan Winery and Resort in Braselton. If you choose to stay at the Chateau Elan, our private driver will drop you off and pick you up when you are ready to continue your journey.
